Metal Buildings DeSoto MO | Amsteel Midwest

Metal buildings DeSoto MO and Jefferson County represent a natural extension of our strong southeast St. Louis market. DeSoto sits on Highway 21 about 40 miles south of St. Louis — rural residential character, acreage properties, and buyers who want buildings that work as hard as they do. Amsteel Midwest coordinates delivery and installation of tubular steel, cold formed steel, and red iron buildings throughout DeSoto and Jefferson County.

Jefferson County’s rural residential market is one we know well — our Project Advisors serve House Springs, Festus, and the surrounding Jefferson County communities regularly. DeSoto buyers get the same straight recommendations and accurate permitting guidance we deliver across the county.

Which Building Type Is Right for Your DeSoto Project?

Tubular Steel — Utility Buildings Up to 60′ Wide

Tubular steel is our highest-volume product and the system our Project Advisors know best. At 30’–40′ wide, a properly spec’d tubular building delivers an excellent result — durable, functional, and built to last — at a price point that works for the majority of our buyers. We’ve helped thousands of customers across 48 states get exactly the building they needed in tubular steel, and we know how to sell it correctly.

For insulated builds, our Project Advisors spec housewrap or reflective double bubble as a manufacturer upgrade installed before the panels go on. Site-specific engineering runs approximately $2.00 per square foot when required.

Cold Formed Steel — Finished Buildings and Occupied Structures

Cold formed steel comes standard with foam closure systems, soffit options, upgraded trim packages, rat guard trim, rake edges, gutter packages, and standing seam roof options. Site-specific engineering runs approximately $0.75 per square foot. For DeSoto buyers building finished workshops, barndominiums, residential shells, or light commercial buildings, cold formed steel delivers a substantially better finished product and lower engineering cost than tubular when engineering stamps are required.

Red Iron — 60’+ Spans and Commercial Applications

Red iron is the standard for 60’+ wide buildings and commercial applications requiring door openings wider than 20′. At 25’–30′ on center standard frame spacing, red iron delivers wide open bay configurations for large equipment and commercial facilities throughout Jefferson County.
