Tubular Steel — Our Most Popular System
Tubular steel is our highest-volume product and the system our Project Advisors know best. At 30’–40′ wide, a properly spec’d tubular building delivers an excellent result — durable, functional, and built to last — at a price point that works for the majority of our buyers. Tubular remains viable through 60′ wide for agricultural applications. Many of the rural areas in Sedgwick and Butler counties accept generic Risk Category I engineering for qualifying agricultural and utility structures. Our most popular configurations in the Wichita area are 30×40 and 30×50.
Tubular buildings are highly customizable with foam closures, rat guard, rake edges, and gutter packages available as upgrades. For insulated builds, housewrap or reflective double bubble are manufacturer upgrades installed before panels go on. Site-specific engineering runs approximately $2.00 per square foot when required.
Cold Formed Steel — Finished Buildings and Municipality Projects
Cold formed steel comes standard with foam closure systems, soffit options, upgraded trim packages, rat guard trim, rake edges, gutter packages, and standing seam roof options. Site-specific engineering runs approximately $0.75 per square foot. For Wichita area buyers building barndominiums, finished workshops, residential shells, or any project inside city limits requiring site-specific engineering, cold formed steel delivers a better finished product and lower engineering cost than tubular when stamps are required.
Red Iron — 60’+ Spans and Commercial Applications
Red iron is the standard for 60’+ wide buildings and commercial or industrial applications requiring door openings wider than 20′. At 25’–30′ on center standard frame spacing, red iron delivers wide open bay configurations for large equipment and commercial facilities throughout the Wichita metro.
